Digest Zen

I know that some people use Digest Zen on a daily basis in place of  prilosec, or other heart burn medications.  Also people that suffer from IBS or other digestive issues.

Digest Zen was one of the oils that came in my physicians kit,  I have fortunately not had

a reason to try it until this last week.

 One of my pumpkins woke up at 2 o'clock in the morning with a tummy ache.

I could hear his little tummy grumbling as he cried,  My first instinct was to grab some tums BUT then I remembered I had the digest zen, what a better opportunity to try it.

I put 2 drops on his little tummy and rubbed it in. 

Within 2 minutes the pain was gone!! No more grumble tummy,  What  a blessing!!

Psoriasis

I have a beautiful friend that suffers from  Psoriasis, she has dry, itchy red and scaly patch's on her arm, finger, and legs.

She has tried many steroids and creams with little to no success.

She was willing to try melaeluca and I am thrilled to announce...her patch's are almost gone!

For those that have severe psoriasis, I would recommend doing the GX assist with it.

 I looked Psoriasis up on EverythingEssential.me, this is what it said.

Oils, blends & products recommended:

Oils & Blends: geranium, lavender, melaleuca

Essential oils based products: Clear Skin, GX Assist, Life Long Vitality supplements

Suggested protocols:

To ease the immediate discomfort two application scenarios should be considered depending on the severity, intensity, and the area covered.
Make an ointment:

· 1 teaspoon carrier such as Extra Virgin Coconut Oil

· 20 drops lavender (relieves itching)

· 20 drops geranium (soothes and revitalizes)

· 20 drops melaleuca (if you suspect bacterial infection)

Use the ointment for direct topical application to the affected area.
For larger area use a bath adding the 6 to 12 drops of the lavender and the other oils as needed.

doTERRA with Justin Harrison

WOW!!

What a great night!!

Justin is amazing, it was a lot of fun to listen to him, see friends and learn new great ways to use these awesome oils.

If you have your own expierence with doTERRA I would love to hear them.

I want to share a few of the new things I learned.

Breathe is one oil that is quickly becoming one of my favorites,  One of my children suffers from asthma, most of the time he is fine but his allergies have been bad this spring. 

He has been rubbing breathe on his chest, the coughing stops and he sleeps like a champ!

Last night I learned that you can put breathe in your humidifier, great for croupy little children.

The room was packed, which means, lots of great testimonials from people.

One lady said she has been on a c-pap for years,  She started using breathe at night, and It has helped her to quit using her c-pap!!! That is amazing ( if this is something that applies to you, I would recommend that you still have a sleep apnea test,  make sure your oxygen levels stay in a safe range while sleeping)

Another great one was digest zen, we all know you can you digest zen for anything digestion.  IBS, acid reflux ect.

Justin told a story of using digest zen for a sinus infection!

Simply rub it over the bridge of your nose, After looking at what oils are in the digest zen blend, it totally makes sense.

He also talk of deep blue.
 I get asked alot about the difference in the oil and the rub.

He said the rub has a longer, over all lasting effect.  The oil is more for a immediate relief but does not last quite as long as the rub.

For the ultimate relief for severe pain(rheumatoid arthritis) use both.

Another great product he mentioned for arthritis was Frankincense, A sweet little lady told of her arthritis and how debilitating it is.  She rubs Frankincense on her hands and has had immense relief.

Also a story of a member on her team, she has Ulnar Tunnel, she rubs frankincense on her wrist and the problem has repaired itself.

The last one I am going to mention is my favorite doTERRA product.

The life long vitality pack.

In my own experience I have seen a huge difference in my energy level, as well as my hair, my nails, skin.

I have also noticed that I no longer have hip pain.  I would have to take 800 ibuprofen everyday after going to the gym to stop the pain in my hip.

 I have not taken any ibuprofen in 6 weeks!

A whiff of rosemary gives your brain a boost

Could the smell of rosemary enhance your time on a crossword puzzle? It's possible, according to a new study.

Researchers noted the surprising appearance of a component of rosemary oil in the bloodstream, leading to new ideas about how rosemary aroma can be used therapeutically. The results will be published in Therapeutic Advances in Psychopharmacology, a journal published by SAGE Publications.

Rosemary has a long history as a traditional remedy with such widespread uses as a hair rinse and a cat repellent. When steamed, some say it can treat bronchitis and other forms of congestion, while the link between rosemary and improved cognitive function has long been established.

Dr. Mark Moss, who devised and wrote the study, was interested in rosemary’s fragrant aroma, which has long been cherished by chefs and bakers. Could the 1,8-cineole, a constituent part of rosemary oil, be detected in the bloodstream after exposure to just the aroma?

“We were not surprised by the improvement in cognitive performance following exposure to rosemary aroma as this has been demonstrated previously,” Moss wrote in an e-mail. “What excited us was the demonstration that performance was linked to plasma levels of 1,8-cineole following exposure.” 

In the study, a cohort of 20 subjects were exposed to varying levels of the aroma, then given a battery of cognitive tests and mood assessments. Not surprisingly, the cognitive performance of the subjects increased, with a corresponding mood increase of lesser magnitude. However, the real surprise came when the blood tests were processed.

The results showed absorption of 1,8-coneole into the bloodstream, meaning the natural compound was absorbed through the nose and into the blood plasma. For Moss, this means there is a more traditional biochemical explanation for the increased cognitive performances previously demonstrated.

“This compound is present in rosemary but has not previously been demonstrated to be absorbed into blood plasma in humans,” Moss added. “It is our view that the aroma therefore acts like a therapeutic drug, rather than any effects being a result of the more sensory properties of the aroma.”

Moss reminds that it’s easy to forget how many of our therapeutic drugs are the result of plant science. His team will continue to investigate the therapeutic benefits of several common plants, including peppermint and lavender. An upcoming study with rosemary will aim to determine whether 1,8-cineole, when ingested orally, can survive the rigors of the gastrointestinal system to be similarly absorbed into the bloodstream. 

The potential benefits of the research are extremely wide-ranging.

“Plants are very complex organisms and contain many different active compounds and these vary in concentration from plant to plant and even within the same plant over the course of a day,” Moss notes.  “The accumulation of knowledge regarding possible impacts of plant aromas and extracts could potentially lead to an identification of the best combination to promote specific effects.” 

“At its grandest conclusion might be the development of plant-based drugs that might extend mental capacity into old age through pharmacological challenge to decline,” Moss concludes. 

GX Assist

Today is my last day of the 10 day GX assist.

I have had this weird thing on my leg for about 1 year, It showed up when

I started running again.  I was not sure if

it was a clogged pour, a boil a ingrown hair??  I tried many different thing, it would

decrease in size until my next long run, then
